Germany provides EUR 27 mln to Georgian energy sector reform

Germany will spend 27 million Euros to help the Georgian energy sector reform based on an agreement between Georgia and the German state-owned investment and development bank (KfW).

Lasha Khutsishvili, Georgian Finance Minister  and Birgit Holderid-Kress, Head of the KfW Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia Department, inked the deal.

“With this agreement, the Georgian government will continue to use the potential of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and market-oriented electricity,” said the Finance Ministry.
