Geostat: China tops Georgia’s exports, Turkey leads imports in January–February 2026
According to the National Statistics Service, in January–February 2026, the ten largest export partner countries accounted for 72.1% of Georgia’s total exports. Among the top three, China ranked first with $147.1 million, Kyrgyzstan second with $105.9 million, and Azerbaijan third with $95.1 million.
Regarding imports, in the same period, the ten largest import partner countries accounted for 69.1% of total imports. The top three were Turkey with $415.6 million, Russia with $326.3 million, and China with $310.7 million.
Among the top ten export commodity groups, light vehicles ranked first with $216.3 million, representing 21.1% of all exports. The second-largest export category was precious metal ores and concentrates at $125.6 million, followed by oil and petroleum products at $93.3 million.
For imports, the largest commodity group was also light vehicles, totaling $332.7 million, or 13.4% of all imports. The second-largest import category was oil and petroleum products at $209.0 million, followed by petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons at $134.7 million.
