Geostat: 9,925 marriages and 6,456 divorces were registered in First Half of 2025

According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Service of Georgia (Geostat), 9,925 marriages and 6,456 divorces were registered in the country during the first six months of 2025.

The agency also reported that 17,719 children were born between January and June, while 22,718 people died in the same period.

As a result, the natural increase of the population – the difference between the number of live births and deaths – stood at 4,999 people. A positive natural increase was recorded in Tbilisi (406) and in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (296).
