Georgia’s Svaneti region to host international qualifying competitions of Freeride World Tour
Georgia’s western highland Svaneti region will host two qualifying competitions of the international winter sports contest – Freeride World Tour for the second time on 16-19 March.
As part of Freeride week, various cultural, gastronomic, and entertainment programs are planned where athletes from 50 different nations partake in the competition.
The competitions, organized by the Georgian company White Rabbit, are supported by the USAID Economic Security Programme, Georgia’s Mountain Tracks Agency, the National Tourism Administration, the Georgian Ski Federation, the GRETA project, co-funded by the European Union, the Swedish Embassy, and the Austrian Development Agency, and officials of Mestia Municipality and Svaneti DMO.
