Georgia’s support for Ukraine unwavering, FM says
Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani stressed on Monday that Georgia’s support for Ukraine is unwavering, saying, “Georgia has always been in solidarity with Ukraine, proved by the steps taken to support our brothers and sisters in Ukraine alongside the international partners.”
FM continued: “This stance voiced not only in our statements but also in the political initiatives stemming from our European, American and other international partners.”
Remarking on Georgia’s support, Zalkaliani stressed the country has joined the bulk of declarations, resolutions, moreover, Georgia co-sponsored the UNSC resolution denouncing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Georgia ??, along with 80 other states, co-sponsored the #UNSC resolution, which was vetoed by Russia ??. The issue will move to UNGA.

FM said: “We knew Russia would respond this resolution strongly and it happened so as Russia vetoed it, however, nevertheless, we co-sponsored this resolution. Georgia also joined the EU’s toughest statements.”
He added that the Georgian embassy in Ukraine continues working in Kyiv “also showing our support.”
