Prosecutor General of Georgia Giorgi Gvarakidze met with Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev.
The meeting was held within Kamran Aliyev’s official visit to Georgia.
Giorgi Gvarakidze thanked Kamran Aliyev for the fruitful cooperation and noted that relations between the two countries foster close collaboration in the field of justice.
“The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Mr. Kamran Aliyev, is visiting Georgia with a delegation. During the official meeting, we discussed future cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries, which will certainly enhance the activities of both the Georgian and Azerbaijani prosecution services,” Giorgi Gvarakidze stated.
Kamran Aliyev emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries’ agencies and expressed readiness to continue close collaboration.
“We are in our friendly country, Georgia, at the invitation of my colleague, the Prosecutor General of Georgia, Giorgi Gvarakidze, to discuss our joint efforts and cooperation in combating various crimes,” Kamran Aliyev said.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the effective partnership between the competent agencies of the two countries in the field of criminal justice, discussed specific areas of cooperation, and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing productive collaboration in the future.
As part of the visit, the Prosecutors General of Georgia and Azerbaijan laid wreaths at the memorial of the third President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev.
