Georgia’s official application for EU membership submitted to French Ambassador to EU
Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili submitted Georgia’s official application for EU membership to France’s Ambassador to the European Union, Philippe Léglise-Costa.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, Georgia asked the European Council to launch procedures for Georgia’s EU accession.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili signed Georgia’s application for EU membership on March 3.
