Georgia’s office has begun to work in the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) – information is confirmed by MIA.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, based on the agreement with Europol made in 2017, MIA sent the Liaison Officer who started his job in the Hague.
Cooperation between Georgia and Europe has huge importance. This makes the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia`s fight against organized crime and transnational crime more effective.
With the appointment of the Liaison Officer in Europe, the cooperation with Europe’s police agencies will be strengthened, which, along with other factors, is important in the context of visa-free regime – MIA stated.
