Georgia’s National Center for Educational Quality Development reinstated in EQAR
The National Center for Educational Quality Development has been reinstated in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), following a decision by the EQAR Register Committee on September 22, 2026, the Ministry of Education said.
According to the ministry, the EQAR Register Committee’s decision was based on the results of an evaluation conducted by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
As part of the evaluation, ENQA international experts conducted an in-depth review of significant changes implemented in Georgia’s higher education quality assurance system in 2024-2025.
Based on the assessment by ENQA’s international experts, the EQAR Register Committee confirmed that the activities of the National Center for Educational Quality Development and the higher education quality assurance mechanisms operating in Georgia fully comply with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).
