Georgia’s interdepartmental delegation holds consultations in Brussels

Deputy FM Teimuraz Janjalia-led interdepartmental delegation held consultations in Brussels. According to the Georgian MFA, the Georgian delegation met with the representatives of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) and various sectoral Offices.

“During the consultations, the parties discussed the gradual deepening of Georgia’s participation in the European Union’s single market in various areas of the economy, including trade with the European Union, industry, agriculture, healthcare, social issues, employment, public procurement, financial services, regional development, environmental protection, competition, and other domains,” reads the statement.

The MFA added that intensive communications would continue as part of the expansion pack. Among them, a thematic visit of representatives of the EU relevant services to Georgia has been planned in the coming months.
