Georgia’s Health Minister meets Turkiye's counterpart in Geneva

Mikheil Sarjveladze, Georgia’s Minister of Internally Displaced Persons, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with his Turkiye counterpart, Kemal Memişoğlu, in Geneva.

During their discussion, the ministers emphasised the importance of ongoing partnership and committed to deepening cooperation in the future. They explored opportunities for enhancing access to medicines, exchanging innovative medical technologies, and addressing other critical healthcare issues.

Sarjveladze highlighted that regional collaboration in healthcare is vital. Georgia is eager to learn from Turkiye’s extensive experience and to develop joint initiatives that benefit both nations.

Currently, Mikheil Sarjveladze is participating in the 78th World Health Assembly, taking place from May 19 to 27 in Geneva, Switzerland. This year’s theme is “One World for Health,” underscoring the global importance of unified efforts in health.
