Georgia's government efficiency hits record high, ranking 35th globally, Deputy Finance Minister says
Georgia has achieved a historic milestone by reaching 35th place in the World Bank’s Government Efficiency Index, stated Deputy Minister of Finance Mikheil Dundua.
Dundua noted that Georgia has surpassed 12 EU member states, 14 NATO member states, one G7 country, and all EU candidate countries in this indicator.
He highlighted that Georgia’s strong performance in the index also reflects notable progress in corruption control, with seven out of nine international evaluators placing the country in the top 20 globally and in Europe.
“This is a very important achievement,” said Dundua. “Georgia continues to show significant progress in both government efficiency and integrity, alongside strong economic growth, which positively impacts the well-being of the population.”
