Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili on Wednesday met with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias during the visit to Greece.
The ministers signed a memorandum on cooperation.
During a joint press point, both parties emphasized their countries’ long-standing good relations and the importance of high-level visits in furthering bilateral ties.
The meeting discussed Georgia’s growing position and importance in the region, focusing on economic and tourism attractiveness and the country’s expanding transit functions.
The Greek Minister reaffirmed unequivocal support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as Georgia’s progress toward Euro-Atlantic integration.
Ilia Darchiashvili, for his part, thanked the Greek side for supporting the Georgian diaspora in Greece.
