Georgia's FM hosts Diplomatic Corps at vintage in Kakheti

Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili hosted representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia at a vintage festival.

“The diplomats became acquainted with Georgian winemaking traditions and contemporary technologies at Château Zegaani in Kakheti. Georgian wine tastings and culinary masterclasses were held. The guests visited unique grape varieties grown on the factory territory and participated in the traditional vintage.

The representatives of the diplomatic corps received welcoming remarks from Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Environmental Protection and Agriculture Minister Davit Songulashvili, and State Representative for the Kakheti region Giorgi Aladashvili.

Maka Botchorishvili thanked the guests for participating in the vintage. According to her, this event provides an opportunity for members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Georgia to become acquainted with Georgia’s rich culture, traditions and centuries-old history of wine production.

The Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhuzla, provided foreign diplomats with information about the importance of viticulture and winemaking for our country and the progress of the 2025 harvest, and introduced them to grape harvest traditions,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
