Georgia's External Merchandise Trade drops 0.3%

The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 2 773.2 million in January-March 2021, 0.3% lower than in the same period of 2020, the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat) reported on Monday.

The exports equaled USD 820.6 million (5.2% higher), while the imports totaled USD 1 952.6 million (2.4 % lower), GeoStat noted.

The share of the top ten trading partners by exports amounted to 76.7 %. The top partners were China (USD 109.8 million), Russia (USD 109.5 million), and Azerbaijan (USD 104.6 million).

The share of the top ten trading partners by imports totaled 71.5%. The top partners were Turkey (USD 343.3 million), Russia (USD 220.4 million), and China (USD 182.8 million).

The share of the top ten trading partners reached 72.2 %.  Turkey (USD 419.0 million), Russia (USD 329.8 million), and China (USD 292.6 million) were among the top trading partners.
