Georgia's Defense Forces to engage in ensuring effective implementation of vaccination

In the fight against coronavirus, Georgia’s Defense Forces will engage in ensuring the effective implementation of vaccination, with the relevant decree recently issued by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the government’s press service reported on Monday.

The epidemiological situation in Georgia has recently deteriorated. Earlier today, the country reported 2,676 coronavirus cases, 4,119 recoveries, and 30 deaths. Georgia’s total case tally reached 484,254, among them 425,651 people recovered, and 6,436 died.

The field hospital was set up in Digomi Olympic Village in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. Health Minister earlier today said surge hospital would be used in case of emergency only.
