Georgia’s Coast Guard hosts maritime security training organized by NATO MARCOM
A training exercise organized by the Mobile Training Team (MTT) of NATO’s Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) was held at the Joint Maritime Operations Coordination Center of the Coast Guard Department of the Georgian Interior Ministry’s Border Police, the Border Police reported.
The event included tabletop exercises and lectures covering maritime operations security, port security, and the protection of critical underwater infrastructure.
Representatives of the Georgian Border Police’s Coast Guard Department and relevant agencies involved in the work of the Joint Maritime Operations Coordination Center participated in the training.
The exercise aimed to further deepen cooperation between the Georgian Coast Guard and NATO maritime forces.
