Georgian wine exports to US grew fivefold since 2012, AAWE says

Georgian wine exports to the United States have increased fivefold since 2012, according to the American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE).

The US Bureau of Statistics noted that wine worth $ 3.268 million was exported to the US in January-September 2021 compared to the same period of 2012 when the number stood at $ 627,000. The average annual growth rate reached 17.95%.

In 2020, the value of Georgian wine imported to the United States increased by 21.4% and reached $ 3.93 million.
