Georgian weightlifter Saba Asanidze wins gold at U20 European Championships

Saba Asanidze and Nikoloz Esartia won gold and silver medals at the U20 European Weightlifting Championship in Bucharest.

Asanidze won the European title by successfully completing all three snatch attempts of 141, 144, and 147 kg. The Georgian weightlifter won the jerk with a score of 175/180 kg.

Esartia won a silver medal in the snatch by lifting 138 / 142 kilograms and was crowned European vice-champion.
