Georgian, Ukrainian delegations meet at IPU Assembly

The Georgian parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, met with Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada First Deputy Speaker Oleksandr Kornienko at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.

Shalva Papuashvili reiterated Georgia’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that the present conflict poses a significant threat to European security. He also reviewed Georgia’s assistance to Ukraine.

The meeting focused on the two nations’ EU integration. Shalva Papuashvili discussed Georgia’s progress in implementing the EU’s 12 recommendations.
