Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of Georgian Parliament, met with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip within the framework of visit to Moldova.
As the Parliament’s Press Office informs, the sides discussed bilateral relations and common goals, as well as cooperation in economic, education and culture spheres. According to their assessment, the countries have the positive dynamics of cooperation, though relations can be further enhanced. The parties considered the current situation in the region and confirmed support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of the two countries.
“At the meeting with the Prime Minister of Moldova we discussed our cooperation, touched upon the political dimension and underlined particular importance of unity of our countries to protect our common interests. We also touched upon economic cooperation and noted the positive dynamics we enjoy in this direction, though there is the perspective to further enhance our economic cooperation and extend the ties. We spoke about the cooperation in culture and education spheres – the spheres with the high prospect for enhancement of our relations”, – Kobakhidze said after the meeting.
