Georgian soldiers in NATO-led peacekeeping missions showed the world what Georgia exactly is, says PM
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili commended the Georgian soldiers serving in the NATO-led peacekeeping missions in his annual report delivered to the parliament. “Our soldiers showed the world what Georgia exactly is,” the PM said.
According to the PM, Georgia’s utmost objective was the EU and NATO integration. Georgia intensified cooperation with the EU on a political and institutional level to officially apply for EU membership in 2024.
Prime Minister underlined that Georgia kept high-level relations with the strategic partners and the United States. He claimed that various legislative acts adopted in 2020 by the US Congress reaffirmed the US unwavering support for Georgia.
“We are effectively using all the tools to join the North Atlantic Alliance. I said before that Georgia fully complies with all parameters and is ready to become a NATO member,” said the Prime Minister.
