The Georgia national rugby union team defeated the Romania national rugby union team 53–30 in the semi-finals of the Rugby Europe Championship at Avchala Rugby Stadium, securing a place in the final scheduled for March 15.
With the victory, Georgia also won the Anthim Iverieli Cup for the 20th time. The trophy has been contested between the Georgian and Romanian national teams since 2002.
The final of the Rugby Europe Championship will take place on March 15 in Leganés at Estadio Municipal de Butarque, where Georgia will face the winner of the semi-final between Spain national rugby union team and Portugal national rugby union team.
