Georgian Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, Tea Akhvlediani, on Monday, held an introductory meeting with the German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer.
During the meeting, the State Minister emphasized the importance of the partnership and friendly relations between the two countries, the press service reported.
Akhvlediani told the Ambassador about the progress in implementing the reconciliation policy, having stressed the crucial role that Germany plays in resolving the Russia-Georgia conflict.
Peter Fischer confirmed Germany’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders and declared full readiness for further close cooperation with the State Minister’s office, the press statement reads.
