Georgian Prosecutor General meets Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister

As part of his official visit to Azerbaijan, Georgia’s Prosecutor General, Giorgi Gvarakidze, has met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov. The meeting was attended by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, along with members of the Georgian delegation.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister, the parties discussed the close and effective co-operation established between the competent authorities of both nations. It was highlighted that the friendly and constructive relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan foster strong legal and judicial co-operation. Special emphasis was placed on the key achievements of the partnership between the Prosecution Services of Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, with both sides expressing a shared commitment to further deepening bilateral ties.

According to the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan for their hospitality, affirming that close co-operation with the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan will continue. For his part, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev thanked his Georgian counterpart for the fruitful legal co-operation between the two states.

Before meeting the Prime Minister, the Azerbaijani hosts took the Georgian delegation on a tour of the new administrative building of the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the headquarters of its Anti-Corruption Directorate.
