Georgian President to attend concert by Patriarchal Choir of Holy Trinity Cathedral at Sistine Chapel

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili will attend a concert by the Patriarchal Choir of Tbilisi Holy Trinity (Sameba) Cathedral at the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City.

The concert will be held under an agreement reached between the President and the Pope during Zourabichvili’s official visit to the Holy See last year, the press service of the Presidential Administration has said.

Vatican TV will air the concert and the people around the world will have a chance to get acquainted with Georgian culture once again, the press statement reads, adding that “this is a historic event as Georgians will sing for the first time in the Sistine Chapel.”
