Georgian President to address 80th UNGA during U.S. visit
The Georgian President, Mikheil Kavelashvili, will participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to the Presidential Administration, during his stay from September 21 to 26, President Kavelashvili will deliver a keynote speech at the General Assembly and hold high-level bilateral meetings, including discussions with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
President Kavelashvili will also attend an official reception hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in honour of the participating heads of delegation.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, has also travelled to the United States to represent Georgia at the UNGA. She will take part in the General Debate and engage in high-level meetings with her international counterparts.
During her visit, the Foreign Minister is also expected to deliver speeches at various forums and participate in key events.
