Georgian President posthumously awards former MP Koba Davitashvili with medal of honor

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has posthumously awarded former MP and leader of the People’s Party Koba Davitashvili with the medal of honor.

“On behalf of the Georgian people, today on November 7 President of Georgia anew expresses her gratitude and respect to Koba Davitashvili as a victim of November 7, 2007 [police crackdown on opposition protests], who has sacrificed his health and life to the fight for the future of this country and justice”, the President’s statement reads.
