Georgian President congratulates Nikos Christodoulides on his election as Cyprus’s President

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Monday congratulated Nikos Christodoulides on his election as President of Cyprus.

The President said: “Our countries share a common past and a common value for the European family. I look forward to working with you to make the cooperation and the bonds between our nations stronger and deeper.”

Nikos Christodoulides, a former Foreign Minister, has been elected the eighth President of Cyprus with 52% of the vote.
