Georgian President 'bothered' by statements against US Ambassador

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili Friday said she was “bothered” by the statements made against the US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan.

In her evening press point, the President stressed it is not “a proper form.”

“Today, at the same time, I have to say that I am very bothered by the statements currently being made against the US Ambassador. I don’t think it is a proper form.

If there is any evidence, the diplomatic principle generally requires that it be discussed with the Ambassador one-on-one and not announced on television or in the media. Our friends are our friends. We have no other friends!” she stated.
