Georgian PM to hold meeting with Acting Assistant US Secretary of State

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met Acting Assistant US Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Reeker.

According to the Governmental Administration, following the meetings held in Armenia and Azerbaijan, Philip Reeker discussed regional security issues and the new geopolitical situation in the Caucasus region with the Georgian PM.

The sides considered Georgia’s role for long-term peace in the South Caucasus and set future cooperation prospects. It was noted that Georgia will continue to act as a reliable partner and as a committed ally for the US both in the region and beyond.

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and the US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan attended the meeting.

Within the framework of his regional trip, Philip Reeker left for Azerbaijan and Armenia after his visit to Georgia, and then returned to Tbilisi.
