Georgian PM to attend first meeting of European Political Community

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will partake in the first summit of the EU-initiated European Political Community (EPC), slated for 6-7 October in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

PM Garibashvili will participate in high-level thematic roundtable discussions, the government’s press office announced on Wednesday.

PM-led Georgia’s governmental delegation has departed for Prague today.

The delegation includes Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Head of the Government Administration Revaz Javelidze.

An EU initiative aims to foster political dialogue and cooperation to address issues of common interest and strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent. It explained that this platform for political coordination does not replace any existing organisation, structure or process and does not aim to create new ones at this stage.
