Georgian PM offers condolences to Turkey

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili offered his sincere condolences to the government and people of Turkey in connection with the coal mine explosion in Bartin province.

“Deeply saddened by the news of the tragic coal mine accident in Turkey’s Bartın Province. At this difficult time, our thoughts go out to families who lost loved ones, the injured and the rescue crews. Sincere condolences and sympathy to the people and Government of Turkey,” he tweeted.

At least 28 people have died and dozens remain trapped underground after an explosion in a coal mine in northern Turkey’s Bartin province on October 14. The cause of the blast is not yet known.
