Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, on Monday offered his condolences to the families and relatives of six Georgian fighters killed in action in Bakhmut.

“It is a great loss for us, a great pain. The war in Ukraine has already claimed 33 lives, which is a tragedy for us. My condolences go out to their families,” Garibashvili stated at today’s Cabinet meeting.

The PM went on to clarify that, per the government’s decision and in agreement with the families, the bodies of Georgian fighters had been transported to Georgia with the government’s direct involvement in all prior cases. The expenses are fully covered by the government.
