Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday offered ‘sincere’ condolences and sympathy to a legendary dancer Omar Mkheidze’s family and friends, ‘and all of our society.’
In his message of condolence, the PM said, “It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Omar Mkheidze, a legendary dancer.”
“For decades, Mr. Mkheidze has faithfully served the development and promotion of Georgian folklore. His performances have introduced millions of people around the world to Georgia as a country with an ancient and unique culture, and have earned him people’s love and recognition in his homeland,” reads the statement.
