Georgian PM, NATO SG meeting cancelled

Today’s meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has been cancelled due to Stoltenberg’s health condition, although no official comment has been made on the matter yet.

NATO Secretary General tested positive for coronavirus last week, NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu said on Twitter. “Following Belgian medical guidelines, he will continue to fulfill his duties working from home,” she added.

Jens Stoltenberg could not attend an Informal Meeting of EU Defence Ministers yesterday, but today he received the applications for Finland’s and Sweden’s membership in NATO.
