Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Ali Kaan Orbay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, the Government Administration reported.
The conversation at the meeting revolved around the strategic partnership between the two countries and prospects of advancing their cooperation. Focus was made on matters pertaining to economic interaction, including the active cooperation between Georgia and Turkey on regional geostrategic projects. It was pointed out that the existing regional projects are a clear example of an effective and reliable partnership between the two countries.
The parties also discussed the regional state of affairs. Emphasis was put on the importance of peace and stability for ensuring the region’s further development and lasting prosperity.
It was noted that Georgia appreciates Turkey’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, alongside its non-recognition policy.
