Georgian PM meets Speaker of Mejlis of Turkmenistan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dünýägözel Gulmanowa.

During the meeting held at the Government Administration, relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan and prospects for future cooperation were reviewed.

The meeting focused on Georgia-Turkmenistan political and economic ties, accentuating partnership in trade, transit, logistics and energy sectors. The countries’ active cooperation in the Middle Corridor development was underscored.

Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmirat Seitmamedov, and Georgia’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan Konstantine Sabiashvili attended the meeting.

Irakli Kobakhidze echoed the meeting with Dünýägözel Gulmanowa on the X Platform.

“Pleased to host H.E. Dunyagozel Akmuhammedovna Gulmanova, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, on her first official visit to Georgia. We discussed ways to elevate the Georgia-Turkmenistan partnership and expand cooperation in key strategic areas, with a view to unlocking new opportunities for regional collaboration,” he said.
