Georgian PM meets Romanian Minister of National Defense

Georgia-Romania cooperation and relations with NATO and the European Union were the main issues discussed at the meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Romanian Minister of National Defense Vasile Dincu.

Georgian PM and Romanian Minister noted that the recently signed declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership will give a new impetus to the close relations between the two countries in all directions.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked Romania for its firm support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as for the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Romania’s significant contribution to the EU monitoring mission was emphasized.

Attention was also paid to the historic decision to give Georgia a European perspective, and it was said that the country’s authorities are ready to fulfil their obligations in order to quickly achieve progress on the path to joining the European Union.
