Georgian PM meets newly-appointed ambassador to Australia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday met with Beka Dvali upon his appointment as a Georgian Ambassador to Australia today.

The Head of Government congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the new position and wished him every success in his future endeavors.

According to the government’s press service, the meeting focused on maintaining the positive trend of bilateral relations between Georgia and Australia, along with its significance for politics, economics, agriculture, tourism, education, and other sectors. The parties stressed the prospects of future cooperation, as well as formats of multilateral and regional cooperation.

Beka Dvali is a lawyer by background. He has gained a Master’s Degree in Comparative and European Law from the Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He has a long track record of diplomatic service and has served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the South African Republic since 2012. He is married and has one child. Giorgi Dolidze has been so far serving as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Australia.
