Georgian PM meets NATO Special Representative

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Javier Colomina, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.

According to the Government Administration, the key directions of the NATO-Georgia cooperation agenda were discussed, and Georgia’s progress toward Euro-Atlantic integration was summarized.

Javier Colomina congratulated Irakli Garibashvili on the EU candidate status.

The Prime Minister thanked Javier Colomina for support and pointed out that Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration is one of the key priorities of our country’s foreign and security policy.

The parties discussed Georgia’s role as the Alliance’s unwavering and reliable partner and its considerable contribution to ensuring both global and Black Sea Region security. The Head of Government noted that Georgia has always been one of the most reliable and effective partners of the Alliance.

The discussed topics included the global security environment and challenges.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked Javier Colomina for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting was attended by Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia Alexander Vinnikov, Head of the Government Administration of Georgia Revaz Javelidze, and Georgia’s Ambassador to NATO Victor Dolidze.
