Georgian PM meets MEP Sven Mikser

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the European Parliament’s Standing Rapporteur on Georgia MEP Sven Mikser on Wednesday.

According to the government’s press service, the parties discussed Georgia’s current political processes and the ongoing EU-mediated dialogue. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s readiness for a constructive dialogue.

“It was noted that the parties have a great responsibility for this process as reaching a compromise is in the interests of the country,” the press statement reads.

“We focused on the AA and Georgia’s progress in the implementation of democratic reforms. We also discussed the new geopolitical situation in the region and the difficult humanitarian and security situation in the occupied territories,” PM tweeted.
