Georgian PM meets JICA President

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Akihiko Tanaka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of his visit to Davos.

According to the Press Service of the Government Administration, the meeting emphasized the high level of Georgia-Japan partnership and cooperation across many directions. The parties expressed commitment to deepening this cooperation.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked Akihiko Tanaka for the significant financial assistance allocated by JICA for agricultural, energy, and infrastructural projects and for promoting sustainable economic growth and social stability.

Through the International Cooperation Agency, Japan implements programs for technical cooperation, capital grants, and loans.

The robust global network of JICA covers European, Asian, Near Eastern, African, and Latin American directions.
