Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia met with the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects of further deepening relations between the two countries within the scope of strategic partnership and cooperation.
The head of the Georgian Government and the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia spoke about the priorities the Georgian Government have.
“We brought attention to a variety of issues, including security and economic cooperation, opportunities to rev up economic ties.
We spoke in-depth about the importance of education, including USAID’s $7 million education program in Georgia that has launched recently,” Degnan stressed.
The newly appointed US ambassador to Georgia concluded that “2020 is an important year for the United States and Georgia as there are elections in both countries.”
