Georgian PM hails establishment of strategic partnership with China

Georgia and China have become strategic partners, which is a historic decision that will benefit both nations, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said in an interview with China Central Television (CCTV).

Georgian PM expressed gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for inviting him to China and noted that substantial outcomes were achieved during the visit.

The Prime Minister described his meeting with President Xi Jinping as successful and fruitful.

“The decision to elevate the existing relationship to a strategic partnership level, which we made together, was especially welcome. Georgia and China have become strategic partners, which I believe will be a very important decision and both countries will benefit from this. I would say a historic decision. I am really pleased that we made this happen. Today, I am proud to say that now Georgia and China are strategic partners. I am going back home with some concrete, tangible results,” he stated.
