Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had a phone conversation with Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium.
According to the Press Service of the Government Administration, the conversation’s key topics included Georgia’s official EU membership application and the ongoing military action in Ukraine.
The Georgian Prime Minister once again welcomed the decision of the Council of the European Union to begin examining accession bids from Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
Irakli Garibashvili pointed out that it stands for extra motivation to expedite the reform agenda, also emphasizing that Georgia is counting on strong support from the Kingdom of Belgium and other international partners along this path.
The parties also focused on the situation in Ukraine, underlining the importance of the international community’s joint effort toward ending the military action as soon as possible.
