Georgian PM congratulates civil servants on professional day

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday congratulated all civil servants on Professional Day and praised them for their contributions to the people and the state.

In his statement, the PM stressed “their merits are invaluable, because public servants are the driving force behind all public institutions and the key actors in their development.”

According to Garibashvili, “despite the current events worldwide, as a result of the large-scale reforms carried out by our authorities, we have considerable progress in the directions of building democratic institutions, economic advancement, and social and foreign policies.”

“The Government of Georgia will continue reforming public governance and its most important part, public service, which stands for introducing European principles and ensuring institutional guarantees. Appreciating the contributions of public servants in building the public service of the future is the unconditional priority of the authorities. This is exactly why a process of increasing their salaries started in 2022 to continue in coming years as well,” he underscored.
