Georgian parliamentary delegation to visit Ukraine at the end of this week
The Georgian parliamentary delegation is likely to visit Ukraine at the end of this week, said the Georgian Dream (GD) party member Davit Sergeenko.
“The Georgian parliamentary delegation has never rebuffed. On the contrary, we are obliged to arrive in Ukraine. We held another working meeting today to discuss the details. Now we are communicating with the Ukrainian side, and most likely, the delegation will leave this weekend, Friday or Saturday,” Sergeenko said.
Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk invited parliament members of different countries, among them Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, to visit the sites of atrocities by Russian troops. Shalva Papuashvili first rebuffed to visit Ukraine on April 8, dubbing Stefanchuk’s invitation improper.
