Georgian Parliamentary delegation meets Azerbaijani FM

Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations, met with Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Parliament of Georgia reported.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairmen of the Foreign Relations Committees of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, along with members of the delegations from Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

The participants emphasized the significance of the trilateral format of the Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan Foreign Relations Committees in deepening strategic partnerships. Discussions focused on bilateral and regional relations, including strategic projects such as oil and gas pipelines, railway initiatives, and other geopolitically important projects connecting Central Asia and Europe through the South Caucasus.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also addressed the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process and related expectations. Additionally, the meeting covered the situation in Georgia’s occupied regions and ongoing developments in the Middle East, including Iran and Syria.
