Within the framework of the visit to Strasbourg, First Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Education, Science and Youth Affairs Giorgi Chakvetadze and First Deputy Chair of the European Integration Committee Vakhtang Turnava met members of the European Parliament.
Ongoing events in Georgia, regional and international issues and challenges were reviewed during the meetings. The Georgian MPs provided their European colleagues with information on the processes taking place in the country and the government’s future plans.
Members of the European Parliament reconfirmed support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and assessed the EU’s policy towards Georgia and international events.
Giorgi Mikeladze, Deputy Head of Mission of Georgia to the European Union (EU), attended the meetings.
